A patient with acute suppurative thyroiditis associated with agranulocytosis

Abstract
Acute suppurative thyroiditis is uncommon disease. Of 224 reported cases of acute suppurative thyroiditis, %68 were bacterial, %9 were mycobacterial, %5 were parasitic, and %3 were due to syphilitic gummatous infections. A patient with acute suppurative thyroiditis because of uncommon disease is reported in detail in the lights of literature findings.
Özet
Akut süpüratıf tiroidit seyrek görülen bir hastalıktır. Literatürde bildirilen akut süpüratıf tiroiditli 224 olgunun %68'inde bakteriye!, %9'unda mikobakteriyel, % 5'inde parazitik ve %3'ünde sifüitik infeksiyon bildirilmiştir. Oldukça nadir görülmesi nedeni ile akut süpüratıf tiroiditli bir hastamız literatür eşliğinde değerlendirilmiştir.
