Syringomyelia with Chiari type I malformation in childhood: A case report

Abstract
A six years old boy patient who has headache, vomiting, fever and coughing also he has nuchal rigidity and hyperreflexia in deep tendon reflexes in the lower extremities. In brain CT and brain, spine MRI Syringomyelia with Chiari type I malformation is diagnosed. This case is reported as it can been seen rarely in chilhood and also it has similar clinical findings with intracranial infections.
Özet
Neonatal indirekt bilirübinin nörotoksisitesi sonucu gelişen ve kalıcı nörolojik defisitlere yol açan kernikterusta kranial manyetik rezonans görüntüleme (MRG) bulguları son yıllarda bildirilmektedir. Bu yazıda literatürde bildirilen olgular temelinde MRG nin kernikterus olgularında yeri incelenmiştir.
