Özet

Araştırmanın amacı okul müdürlerinin ders denetimlerine ilişkin okul müdürleri ve öğretmenlerin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın deseni genel tarama desenidir. Araştırmanın evrenini, İzmir ili Bornova İlçesi'nde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı eğitim kurumlarında, 2018–2019 öğretim yılında görev yapmakta olan okul müdürleri ve öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise bu evrenden 243 öğretmen ve 51 müdür olmak üzere toplam 294 katılımcı oluşturmuştur. Örneklemin belirlenmesinde seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın veri toplama aracı olarak okul müdürlerinin ders denetim uygulamalarını belirlemeye yönelik bir anket kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre okul müdürleri, ders denetimi uygulamalarındaki davranışları gösterme düzeylerini "Sıklıkla" ve "Her zaman" düzeyinde yani olumlu olarak gösterdiklerini; öğretmenler ise, "Hiçbir zaman" ve "Bazen" düzeyinde yani müdürlerin ders denetimlerini yapmadıklarını ağırlıklı olarak belirtmişlerdir. Okul müdürlerinin denetim uygulamaları konusunda okul müdürlerinin görüşlerinde “öğrenci davranışlarını gözlemleme, ders içeriğini gözlemleme ve öğretmen-öğrenci ilişkilerini gözlemleme” uygulamalarının öne çıktığı; öğretmenlerin görüşlerinde ise “ders içeriğini gözlemleme, öğrenci görüşlerini alma ve veli dönütlerini alma” uygulamalarının vurgulandığı bulunmuştur. Ders denetlenmesinde karşılaşılan sorunlara ilişkin olarak okul müdürlerinin görüşlerinde en çok “öğretmenlerin heyecan hissetmesi, süre yetersizliği ve öğretmenlerin özeleştiri eksikliği”; öğretmenlerin görüşlerinde ise “denetimin düzenli yapılmaması, branş farklılığı ve müdürlerin objektif olmaması” kodları öne çıkmıştır.

Abstract

This study aims to determine school principals’ and teachers’ opinions related to school principals’ course inspection. The design of the study is a survey design. The school principals and teachers working in educational inspection affıliated to the Ministry of National Education in Bornova District of İzmir Province in the 2018-2019 academic year constitute the population of the study. A total of 294 participants from this population, 243 teachers and 51 principals were included in the study. The random sampling method was used to identify the participants. As the data collection tool of research, a questionnaire was used to determine the school principals’ course inspection practices. According to the findings of the study, the school principals showed that the level of demonstrating behaviors in course inspection practices at ‘’Often’’ and ‘’ Always’’ levels; the teachers stated them at ‘’None’’ and ‘’ Sometimes’’ levels predominantly. In the perceptions of school principals about the issue of course inspection practices of school principals, it was observed that ‘’observing students’ behaviours, observing course content and observing teacherstudent relations’’ were prominent. In the perceptions of teachers, it was found that the practices ‘’observing the course content, getting the opinions of the students and taking the parents’ feedbacks were emphasized. Regarding the problems encountered during the course inspection, in the perceptions of the school principals the codes ‘’ feeling excitement of teachers, lack of time and lack of self-criticism‘’, as to in the perceptions of the teachers ‘’failure to conduct inspection regularly, branch differences and non-objective principals’’ codes came to the foremostly.
