Investigation of Campylobacter, Salmonella and Listeria spp. from Turkish white and çeçil cheese

Abstract
In this study, a total of 80 Turkish white cheese (40 non-ripened and 40 ripened) and 40 Cecil cheese samles were collected from markets in Kars city-Turkey and were examined for the presence of Campylobacter, Salmonella and Listeria strains. Of non ripened white chese samples investigated, C. jejuni was isaleted in 2 (5%) and listeria spp. was isolated in 6 (15%) samples. Of the samples, 2 (5%) had listeria monocytogenes, 2 (5%) had L. innocua and 2 (5%) had both L. monocytogenes and L. innocua. Salmonella was not detected in the 120 cheese samples investigated. In ripened white cheese, Campylobacter, Salmonella, Listeria was not detected. In Cecil cheese, however, Campylobacter and Salmonella was not detected.
Özet
Bu araştırmada 80 adet beyaz peynir (40 adet taze, 40 adet salamura) ile 40 adet Çeçil peyniri örneği, Kars ili perakende satış yerlerinden alınarak, Campylobacter, Salmonella ve Listeria türleri yönünden incelendi. incelenen örneklerden taze beyaz peynir örneklerinin 2(%5)'sinde C. jejuni bulunurken, 6(%15)'sında Listeria türleri tespit edildi. Örneklerin 2(%5)'sinde L. monocytogenes, 2(%5)'sinde L. innocua ve 2(%5)'sinde hem L. monocytogenes hem de L'innucua'ya rastlandı. Toplam olarak incelenen 120 adet peynir örneğinin hiç birinde Salmonella bulunmadı. Salamura beyaz peynirlerde Campylobacter, Salmonella ve Listeria, Çeçil peyniri örneklerinde ise Campylobacter ve Salmonella türlerine rastlanmadı.
