The blood samples were obtained from the all control and treatment fish at the end of the exposure period. Increases were observed in red blood cell (RBC), white blood cell (WBC), thrombocyte count, hemoglobin, erythrocyte-sedimentation rate (ESR) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC). On the other hand, hematocrit, mean corpuscular volume (MCV) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) values were decreased because of the cobalt chloride exposure. Statistical analyses showed that the diff erences in WBC, hemoglobin, MCV and MCH were very important (P<0.01), in MCHC was important (P<0.05) but the others were not important.

Özet

Gökkuşağı alabalıkları (Oncorhynchus mykiss) kobalt kloritin 180 ?g/l'lik dozuna 8 saat aralıklı uygulamalarla 28 gün maruz bırakılarak hematolojik parametreler üzerine etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Deneme periyodunun sonunda kontrol ve muamele gruplarındaki balıkların hepsinden kan numuneleri alındı. Eritrosit sayısı (RBC), lökosit sayısı (WBC), trombosit sayısı, hemoglobin düzeyi, eritrosit sedimentasyon oranı (ESR) ve eritrosit başına düşen ortalama hemoglobin konsantrasyonu (MCHC) değerlerinde artışlar gözlendi. Buna karşılık ortalama eritrosit hacmi (MCV) ve eritrosit başına düşen ortalama hemoglobin miktarı değerlerinde düşüşler belirlendi. İstatistiksel analizler sonucunda WBC, hemoglobin düzeyi, MCV ve MCH değerlerindeki fark çok önemli (P<0.01), MCHC değerinde önemli (P<0.05), diğerlerinde ise önemsiz olarak değerlendirilmiştir.
