An Examination of Primary Education Programs in Terms of UNDP 2030 Sustainable Development Goals

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to reveal how compatible the 2018-2019 primary education programs are with the UNDP 2030 sustainable development goals. Document analysis method was used in the study. The data obtained through the examination of 2018- 2019 primary education programs were subjected to content analysis. When 2018-2019 primary education programs are examined in terms of UNDP’s 2030 sustainable development goals; it has been determined that some of the learning outcomes of Life Sciences, Science, Social Studies, History of Turkish Revolution and Kemalism courses are compatible with some sustainable development objectives.
Özet
Bu çalışmada 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılından itibaren uygulanan ilköğretim programlarının Birleşmiş Milletler (BM) 2030 sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleri ile ne kadar uyumlu olduğunun ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada doküman inceleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. 2018-2019 İlköğretim programlarının incelenmesi ile ulaşılan veriler, içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. 2018- 2019 öğretim programları, BM 2030 sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleri açısından incelendiğinde; zorunlu derslerden Hayat Bilgisi, Fen Bilimleri, Sosyal Bilgiler, İnkılâp Tarihi ve Atatürkçülük derslerinin bazı kazanımlarının, bazı sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleri ile uyumlu olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
