The Effect of Entrepreneurship Trend on Talent Management: A Research on Tourism Students

Girişimcilik Eğiliminin Yetenek Yönetimi Üzerine Etkisi: Turizm Eğitimi Alan Öğrenciler Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the entrepreneurial tendencies of tourism education by the talent management process they had during their education and the global competition environment. In this context, it is aimed to determine the relationships between the entrepreneurial dimensions that affect the talent management dimensions of the students. This analysis focuses on the effect of the entrepreneurship tendencies of the students in the Kırklareli University Faculty of Tourism on a significant effect on talent management. IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 package program was used to analyze the questionnaires obtained by face-to-face interview method. Descriptive statistics, validity, reliability tests and and multiple linear regression analyzes were performed in order to reveal the research findings. The model was tested based on linear regression analysis and it was seen that the entrepreneurship tendencies exhibited during their education have a positive and significant effect on their talent management process in their academic lives.

Özet

Bu çalışma, turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin eğitimleri esnasında sahip oldukları yetenek yönetimi süreci ile küresel rekabet ortamının getirdiği girişimcilik eğilimlerinin tespit edilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada öğrencilerin sahip olduğu yetenek yönetimi boyutlarını etkileyen girişimcilik boyutları arasındaki ilişkilerin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Verilerin elde edilmesinde Kırklareli Üniversitesi Turizm Fakültesi’nde öğrenim gören öğrencilerden oluşan 241 kişiye, yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi ile anket uygulanmıştır. Anketlerin analizi için IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularını ortaya koyabilmek için tanımlayıcı istatistikler, geçerlilik, güvenilirlik testleri, çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Doğrusal regresyon analizine dayanarak model test edilmiş ve turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin eğitimleri sırasında sergiledikleri girişimcilik eğilimlerinin akademik hayatlarında sergiledikleri yetenek yönetimi sürecine pozitif ve anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu görülmüştür.
