Checklist of the bees of the genus colletes latreille 1802 of Turkey (Hymenoptera, Apoidea, Colletidae)

Abstract

There are currently 46 Colletes species and subspecies known from Turkey (23 % of the palaearctic fauna). Three species (C. ankarae Warncke, C. glaber Warncke, C. hiekeseniori Kuhlmann) are endemic and another five (C. transitorius Noskiewicz, C. hakkari Kuhlmann, C. asiaticus Kuhlmann, C. warncke i Kuhlmann, C. iranicus Noskiewicz) are subendemic representing 17 % of the fauna. The (sub) endemic taxa are concentrated in the high mountains and the steppe areas. A checklist of all species including distribution records is presented.
