A Review of the Surah Naḥl Verse 90 in Terms of Formation of Individual Identity and Basic Elements of Social Order

Bireysel Kimliğin Oluşumu ve Toplumsal Düzenin Temel Unsurları Açısından Naḥl Sûresi 90. Ayete Dair Bir Değerlendirme

Abstract

The Qur'an is a divine message sent to people. In this message, the reason of existence was revealed to the human being and the creator was introduced. In the Qur'an, the human responsibilities to his creator, the environment and other people are also explained. The Qur'an has ordered people to behave in accordance with Allah's approval and their own nature, and forbids those who do not. Surah Naḥl verse 90 is a verse which notifies the three commandments and the three prohibitions of Allah. In this verse, Allah has commanded people to do justice and benevolence, to help their relatives and has prohibited them from doing ugly deeds, bad deeds and transgressions. Each of the three issues commanded and prohibited play a key role in the formation of individual identity and in the maintenance of social order. In this article, these three commandments and three prohibitions of Allah will be analyzed and their contribution to the formation of individual identity and to the organization of social order will be revealed.

Özet

Kur’ân, insanlara gönderilmiş ilâhî bir mesajdır. Bu mesaj içerisinde insana varoluş sebebi bildirilmiş, yaratıcısı tanıtılmış, onun yaratıcısına, kendisine, içerisinde yaşadığı çevreye ve insanlara karşı sorumlulukları bildirilmiştir. İnsanın hesap gününde başarılı olarak kurtuluşa ulaşması için Kur’ân ona rehberlik etmiş, Allah’ın rızasına ve kendi fıtratına uygun olan davranışları emretmiş, olmayanları ise yasaklamıştır. Naḥl sûresi 90. ayet Allah’ın üç emrini ve üç yasağını bildiren bir ayettir. Bu ayette Allah insanlara adaleti, ihsânı ve yakınlara yardım etmeyi emretmiş, çirkin işleri, kötü işleri ve haddi aşmayı yasaklamıştır. Emredilen ve yasaklanan bu üçer husus, bireysel kimliğin oluşması ve toplumsal düzenin sağlanmasında son derece kilit bir noktada bulunmaktadırlar. Bu makalede Allah’ın bu üç emri ve üç yasağı irdelenecek ve bunların bireysel kimliğin oluşmasına ve toplumsal düzeninin teşekkülüne katkısı ortaya konulacaktır.
