Evaluation of the applications to family planning clinic

Abstract

High population increasing rates affect the health in a negative manner both directly and indirectly by causing economic, social and many environmental problems. Therefore, Family Planning utility is very important for the health care of population. In this study, we evaluated 2619 women who applied Family Planning Clinic between 01.01.1997 -01.07.1999. The ages, educational degrees, number of total pregnancies, total number of living children, the family planning methods that used during last 3 months and the methods that the women preferred after the application, were evaluated during this study. The results were compared with the results of the TNSA-1998.

Özet

Yüksek nüfus artış hızları, hem doğrudan hem de neden olduğu birçok ekonomik, sosyal ve çevresel sorunlarla sağlığı olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Bu nedenle, Aile Planlaması hizmetleri toplum sağlığının korunmasında çok önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, 01.01.1997-01.07.1999 tarihleri arasında Aile Planlaması Kliniğine başvuran 2619 kadın değerlendirildi. Başvuranların yaşları, eğitim düzeyleri, toplam gebelik sayıları, toplam yaşayan çocuk sayıları, başvurudan önceki son 3 ayda kullandıkları aile planlaması yöntemleri ve başvuru sonrası tercih ettikleri yöntemler değerlendirildi. Elde edilen sonuçlar, Türkiye Nüfus ve Sağlık Araştırması-1998 (TNSA-1998) sonuçlarıyla karşılaştırıldı.
