Facial analysis in patients before rhinoplasty

Abstract
In this study we searched for direct antropometric measurements, in order to set objective criteria in facial esthetic surgery. Between July 1996-July 1999,80 adult patients with ages between 18 to 35 were examined for facial measurement before septorhinoplasty operation. Patients showing orthognotic malformations and obuious facial asimetry, were excluded from the study. Aim of the study was to set quantitative parameters for perfect nose, and search the harmony of face and nose.
Özet
Bu çalışmamızda direkt antropometrik ölçümlerle fasyal estetik cerrahi sanatının özelliklerini araştırdık. Temmuz 1996-Temmuz 1999 Haseki Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi K.B.B. kliniğine başvuran 18-35 yaş arasında erişkin 80 hastanın septorinoplasti ameliyatı öncesinde fasyal ölçümleri yapıldı. Ortognotik bozukluk ve belirgin fasyal asimetri gösterenler çalışma dışı bırakıldı. Çalışmanın amacı ideal burunun kantitatif parametrelerini belirlemek, burun-yüz uyumunun önemini araştırmaktır.
