Comparison of endoscopic diagnosis and computerized tomography (CT) results before the surgery and after the surgery in sinonasal polyposis

Abstract

Nasal polyposis is a very common known disease which has a lot of questions about its pathogenesis. It's a multifactorial disease. Thirtythree patients were examined who were operated between 1 February 1998-31 December 1998. This patients were operated with endoscopic sinus surgery. And we compared their endoscopic diagnosis and Computed red Tomography results before the surgery and after the surgery. When the patients were subjectively evaluated the success was 66.6% when the patients endoscopic examinations were evaluated the success was %67.6.

Özet

Nasal polipozis uzun zamandan beri bilinen bir hastalık olmasına rağmen patogenezi hakkında birçok soru vardır. Multipl faktöryel bir hastalıktır, 1 Ocak 1998-31 Aralık 1998 tarihleri arasında Endoskopik sinüs cerrahisi (ESC) ile öpere edilen sinonazal polipozisli 33 hastanın cerrahi öncesi ve sonrası nasal endoskopik muayene ve Bilgisayarlı Tomografi sonuçları karşılaştırıldı. Hastalar subjektif olarak değerlendirildiğinde %66.6 oranında çok iyi ve iyi sonuç, endoskopik burun muayenesi göz önüne alındığında %67.6 oranında başarı bulundu.
