Abstract
These fractures are uncommon and have associated with 2-15% of elbow dislocations. The unique or comminuted fractures which extends more than 50% of the coronoid process must be handled with open reduction and internal fixation. In this type fractures the prog¬nosis is effected negatively when there is injury such as radius head fractures and elbow dislocations. The major complications are stiffness, restriction in motion, instability and ecto-pic bone formation.
Özet
Çok nadir kırıklardır. Dirsek çıkıklarının % 2-15'ine eşlik ederler. Koronoid çıkıntının %50'sinden fazlasını tutan tek veya parçalı kırıklarda açık redüksiyon ve internal fiksasyon uygulanmalıdır. Bu tip kırıklarda eşlik eden radius başı kırığı, dirsek luksasyonu gibi yaralanmalar prognozu negatif anlamda etkilemektedir. Eklem sertliği, hareket kısıtlılığı, insta-bilite ve ektopik kemik formasyonu başlıca komplikasyonlardır.
