The efficacy of cryotherapy and intralesional steroid therapy in cherry angiomas

Cherry anjiomlarda kriyoterapi ve intralezyoner kortikosteroid uygulamasının karşılaştırılması

Abstract

Cherry angioma is a benign lesion that seen quite frequently in healthy people. In this study, efficacy of both cryotherapy and intralesional steroid therapy is compared in cherry angiomas. For this reason 50 patients with cherry angioma enrolled this study and the patients separated into two groups. Each group had 25 individual. Cyotherapy is applied to one group and intralesoinal steroid therapy is applied the other group. The results of therapies are compared by statistical. It is observed that cryotherapy is better than intralesional steroid therapy (p<0.001).

Özet

Cherry anjiom toplumda oldukça sık görülen selim tabiatlı bir kapiller hemanjiomdur. Bu çalışmada cherry anjiomların tedavisinde kriyoterapi ile intralezyoner kotikosteroid uygulamasının etkinliği karşılaştırıldı. Bu amaçla çalışmaya 50 cherry anjiomlu hasta alındı. Bu hastalar 25 kişilik iki gruba ayrıldı. Birinci gruba kriyoterapi, ikinci gruba intralezyoner kortikosteroid uygulandı. Her iki tedaviden elde edilen sonuçlar istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırıldığında kriyoterapi, intralezyoner kortikosteroid uygulamasına göre anlamlı olarak üstün bulundu (p<0.001).
