A large neonatal brain abscess due to enterobacter in a newborn: A case report

Abstract
A 30 day old bay presented with a bulging fontanelle who had no complaint earlier. The cranial ultrasonography and CT revealed the evidence of a large brain abscess involving the right frontal parietal and temporal lobes. This neonatal brain abscess phenomenon that grows Enterobacter in culture, that does not affect the general condition and that carries no risk factor has been found remarkable and presented.
Özet
Fontanel kabarıklığı ve pulsasyonu nedeniyle getirilen 30 günlük erkek bebekte frontotemporoparietal bölgeyi içine alan dev beyin absesi saptandı. TEP ile alınan abse materyalinden yapılan kültürde Enterobacter üredi. Hiçbir risk faktörünün saptanamadığı ve bebeğin genel durumunu hiç bozmayan, kranial USG ve BT ile tanı konan neonatal beyin abseli olgu ilginç bulunarak sunulmuştur.
