Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencilerinin bilimsel sorgulama becerileri algılarını Fen’e merak, motivasyon ve tutum açısından incelemektir. Bu çerçevede araştırma ilişkisel tarama modeline göre tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını 2017-2018 eğitim ve öğretim yılında Siirt il merkezde öğrenim gören 186 ortaokul öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Fen’e Yönelik Bilimsel Sorgulama Becerileri Algı Ölçeği”, “Fen’e Karşı Merak Ölçeği”, “Fen Öğrenmeye Yönelik Motivasyon Ölçeği” ve “Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Veriler korelasyon ve çoklu regresyon analizi teknikleri kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma bulguları Fen’e karşı merak, motivasyon ve tutumun ortaokul öğrencilerinin bilimsel sorgulama becerileri algılarının önemli yordayıcıları olduğunu göstermektedir. Elde edilen sonuçlar fen eğitimi ile ilgili alanyazın dikkate alınarak tartışılmıştır.
Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine scientific inquiry skills perceptions of secondary students in term of curiosity, motivation and attitude. For this purpose, the research was designed in the relational scanning model. The sample of study consisted of 186 secondary school students in the 2017-2018 academic year from Siirt Center. In the study, some scales are used collections tools as follows: scientific inquiry skills perceptions towards science course scale, science curiosity scale, motivation towards science learning scale and attitude towards science course. The correlation and linear multiple regression analysis are used in the analysis of the data. The research showed that curiosity, motivation and attitude variables of secondary school students significant predictor of scientific inquiry skills perceptions. The results obtained are discussed with regard to the literature on science education.
