Abstract
Biodiesel is an alternative fuel similar to conventional or ‘fossil’ diesel and environmentally friendly.Biodiesel can be produced from vegetable oil, animal fats, waste cooking oil and algae. Common vegetable oilsare rapeseed, soybean, sunflower, cottonseed, safflower, corn and palm oils. Turkey, having large agricultural areaswill have this advantage much more than the other countries for production of biodiesel. However nowadays havebeen unable to produce enough biodiesel production due to lack of raw materials. In this study, the investigated ofin the Model of Turkey Agriculture Region Production and Support supported by and the raw material of biodieseland biodiesel sector may be examined and the effect. The result in terms of sustainability and fuel properties ofsafflower plants come to the fore.
