A General View to Medicinal and Aromatical Plants Belonging to Rize Province

Abstract
Along with the increasing needs and demands throughout the world, human needs for nature and natural products are also ever increasing. Turkey has different and speci c climate conditions in every region, therefore has highly rich ora of medicinal and aromatic plants. Eastern Blacksea Region, especially the Province of Rize, is among those regions with highly rich ora. Considering the potential bene ts to be provided by these plants to local people and county economy, the present study was conducted to provide local names of these plants, their biochemical composition and areas of using through comprehensive literature review.
Özet
Dünya’da artan ihtiyaçlar doğrultusunda insanların doğaya ve doğal ürünlere olan talebi her geçen gün artmaktadır. Ülkemizin her bölgesinde farklı iklim koşullarının hüküm sürmesi, beraberinde farklı tıbbi ve aromatik bitkileri içeren zengin oraları oluşturmaktadır. Doğu Karadeniz bölgesi sınırları içerisinde yer alan Rize yöresi de bunlardan bir tanesidir. Bu bitki zenginliğinin yöre halkına ve Türkiye ekonomisine katkı sağlayacağı dikkate alınarak bitkilerin yöresel isimleri, biyokimyasal içeriği ve kullanım alanları literatür taramasıyla belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.
