An Investigation on Milk Yield and Reproduction Traits of the Member Enterprises of Erzurum Cattle Breeders’ Association

Abstract

General structure of the farms which are members of the breeders association as well as repruductive and milk yield traits and effects of the some enviromental factors on these characteristics were investigated in this study. Age at rst calving, calving interval and service period with the standard errors were found as 30,3±0,09 months, 105,4±1,2 days, 388,1±1,8 days respectively. The effect of the breed on the age at rst calving was highly signi cant (p<0,01). While the calving season was highly signi cant (p<0,01). Nevertheless, the effect of the location on the calving interval was signi cant (p<0,05), but the calving season was higly signi cant (p<0,01). However the effect of the breed and the age on the calving interval weren’t signi cant. Lactation period and the actual milk yield from milk yield traits were found as 304,12±1,5days and 3 834,0±61,0 liters respectively. The effects of breed and location from environmental factors were found to be highly signi cant the actual milk yield (p<0,01).

Özet

Bu çalışmada, Erzurum Damızlık Sığır Yetiştiricileri Birliği’ne üye işletmelerin genel yapısı, döl ve süt verim özellikleri ile bu özellikler üzerine bazı çevre faktörlerinin etkisi incelenmiştir. İlkine buzağılama yaşı, servis periyodu ve buzağılama aralığı süresi ortalamaları ve standart hataları sırası ile 30,3±0,09 ay, 105,4±1,2 gün ve 388,1±1,8 gün olarak bulunmuştur. Etkisi incelenen çevre faktörlerinden ırkın ilkine buzağılama yaşı üzerine etkisi çok önemli (p<0,01) bulunmuştur. Buzağılama mevsiminin etkisi çok önemli (p<0,01) bulunmuştur. Buzağılama aralığına ise ilçenin etkisi önemli (p<0,05) ve buzağılama mevsiminin etkisi çok önemli (p<0,01), ırk ve yaşın etkisi ise önemsiz çıkmıştır. Süt verim özelliklerinden laktasyon süresi ve gerçek süt verimi sırası ile 304,12±1,5 gün ve 3 834,0±61,0 litre bulunmuştur. Çevre faktörlerinden ilçenin ve ırkın gerçek süt verimine etkisi çok önemli (p<0,01) olduğu saptanmıştır.
