Determination of Some Local Grape Genotypes Belong to Van Region and Their Characterization by RAPD Markers

Abstract
In the study, physical and chemical properties of the 21 local genotypes collected from Central, Ercişand Gevaş towns of Van province were determined, and some of these genotypes beside six standard cultivars wereinvestigated molecularly (RAPD method) in order to determine similarities and relationships among them. At theend of the study, standard cultivars, Erciş, and Gevaş genotypes were generally discriminated in different groups.Moreover, based on the genetic variation among the genotypes, the variation in Gevaş and Erciş genotypes werehigher than that of standard cultivars.
Özet
Araştırmada, Van İli ile Erciş ve Gevaş ilçelerinden toplanmış, 21 mahalli genotipe ait birtakım fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikler incelenmiş ve bu genotiplerden bazıları ile 6 standart çeşit, moleküler markör (belirteç) tekniklerinden RAPD yöntemiyle taranarak, örnekler arasındaki farklılıkların ve akrabalık derecelerinin belirlenmesine çalışılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, standart çeşitlere ait örneklerle, Erciş ve Gevaş genotiplerinin genelde farklı gruplar içerisinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, Gevaş ve Erciş genotipleri içerisinde gözlenen genetik çeşitlilik, standart çeşitlerden daha yüksek bulunmuştur
