SWOT Analysis of Aksaray Mining Activities

Abstract

The environmental problems that can arise as a result of mining activities generally pasa heaps, pitformation, various chemicals and all types soil, aqueous and gas emissions. Due to its geological structure, Aksarayis especially important for industrial mines. In this study, SWOT (Strengths-Weaknesses/Opportunities-Threats)analysis of industrial mines belonging to Aksaray province was carried out by examining the environmentalproblems that might be the result of mining activities. As a result of the SWOT analysis, it has tried to identifythe strengths and weaknesses of the mining sector of Aksaray and the opportunities and threats that arise from theperiphery.
