The General Structure of Turkey Breeding Carried out under Extensive Conditions in the Province of Batman

Batman İli Ekstansif Koşullarında Yapılan Hindi Yetiştiriciliğinin Genel Yapısı ve Sorunların Tespiti

Abstract

This research was conducted to reveal the structure of turkey production carried out extensively(based on grazing in the pasture) in Batman province and the districts. In the study a survey was conducted with190 attendants through proportional sampling and in order to represent the sample population from the villagesof Batman province. Questionnaires to be applied to producers included the questions related to producers’ socioeconomic status, technical-structural characteristics of coops, and care and feeding of animals. As a result, it can bepointed out that Batman province has important problems of turkey breeding and the solutions to the problems thatthe producers face have great importance in terms of increasing proftability

Özet

Bu araştırma, Batman ili merkez ve ilçelerinde ekstansif (mera’da otlatmaya dayalı) şartlarda hindiyetiştiriciliğinin yapısını ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, Batman ili merkez ve ilçelerine bağlıköyler arasından örnek populasyonunu temsil edecek şekilde oransal örnekleme yöntemiyle 190 anket yapılmıştır.Üreticilere uygulanan anketlerde, üreticilerin sosyo-ekonomik durumları, kümeslerin teknik-yapısal özellikleri,hayvanların bakım-beslenmesi ve hayvansal ürünlerin pazarlanması ile ilgili sorular yer almıştır. Sonuç olarak,Batman ili kırsal kesiminde yapılan hindi yetiştiriciliğinin önemli sorunları olduğu ve üretimdeki karlılığınartırılması açısından üreticinin karşılaştığı ilgili sorunların çözülmesi gerektiği kanaatine varılmıştır
