Yaşlılarda Depresyon ve Yaşam Doyumu

Abstract

The primary purpose of thts study is to compare the cognitive impair ment, affective disorder and life satisfaction of the aged people who are living in insiilution and the one's who are living witix theirfamlly. The study sample is composed of 65 Uvtng ih insütutional setttng and 50 in their home, a total of 115 subjects. Subjects completed the Brief Cognitive Examinatbön Schedule, Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Neugarten Life Satisfaction Scale. There were signtftcant group differences for cognitive test and BDI. The results shoıoed that institutional life for the elderly is a risk factor for cognitive impairment and affective disorder.

Özet

Huzurevinde bakım gören yaşlılar üe yaşamını kendi evinde sürdüren yaşldann bilişsel ajfekttf ve yaşam doyumu açısından karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemtni huzurevinde yaşayan 65, evinde yaşayan 50 olmak üzere 115 denek oluşmuştur. Bu çalışmada araç olarak Kısa Kognittf Muayene Çizelgesi, Beck Depresyon Envanteri ve Neugarten Yaşam Doyumu ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Kognittf Muayene Çizelgesi ve Beck Depresyon Envanteri açısından gruplararası anlamlı farklılıklar saptanmıştır. Bulgular kurum yaşamının bilişsel ve affektif açıdan bir risk oluşturduğuna işaret etmektedir.
