Abstract
This study aims at making an autoanalysis regarding research motivations, current technical and material conditionsand researcher’s position. Because each autoanalysis includes self-reflexivity, there is a lot of personalexperience and subjective expression throughout the text. For this reason, I examine my position and experienceas a researcher on two digital game research projects which I have been part of. The support of these twoprojects by TUBITAK also includes an experience in the meaning of institutional support for scientific research.As a result, this text is more of a personal story than research experience, institutional support and adaptationof individual curiosity, and an academic study of this processes. This story also includes topics such as research,pleasure and disappointment, intellectual antipathy and coherence of institutional habitus.
Özet
Bu çalışma araştırma motivasyonları, mevcut teknik ve maddi koşullar ve araştırmacının pozisyonu ile ilgili olarakbir otoanaliz yapma amacını taşımaktadır. Her otoanaliz özdüşünümsellik içerdiği için de metin boyunca çokçakişisel deneyim ve öznel ifade söz konudur. Bu amaçla neden araştırıyorum ve araştırmacı olarak pozisyonum vedeneyimim nedir sorularını bu metinde iki dijital oyun araştırma projesi deneyimi üzerinden ele alınmıştır. Sözkonusu bu iki çalışmanın TÜBİTAK tarafından desteklenmesi kurumsal desteğin bilimsel meraka katkısı anlamındada bir deneyim içerir. Sonuç olarak elinizdeki bu metin araştırma merakı, kurumsal destek ve bireysel merakuyumlanması ve bu sürece dair akademik bir çalışmadan daha çok kişisel bir hikâyedir. Bu hikâye ayrıca araştırma,haz ve hayal kırıklığı, entelektüel antipatiklik, kurumsal habitusların uyumu gibi başlıklar içermektedir.
