Özet
ÖzetBu çalışmada, diş rengindeki restoratif materyallerde, farklı cila işlemleri sonrasında yüzey pürüzlülükleri karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Cam iyonomer simanı (Ketac-Silver, ESPE), reçine ile modifıye edilmiş cam iyonomer (Vitremer, 3M), poliasit ile modifıye edilmiş kompozit reçine (Dyract,Dentsply, DeTrey) ve hibrid kompozit reçine (Prodigy, Kerr) ile 10 mm çapında ve 2 mm kalınlığında 80 adet disk hazırlanmıştır. Selüloid bant altında eldeedilen yüzeyler kontrol grubu olarak ayrılırken, diğer yüzeyler 1. Grupta 16 bıçaklı tungsten karbit frezle, 2.Grupta abrasif disklerle (Hawe-Neos) cilalanmıştır. 3. Anahtar sözcükler: dîş rengindeki restoratif materyaller, cila, yüzey pürüzlülüğüAbstractThe purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of polishing procedures on the roughness of tooth-colored restorative materials. 80 discs (10 mm x 2 mm) were fabricated by using Prodigy (Kerr), Vitremer (3M), Dyract (Dentsply, DeTrey) and Ketac-Silver (ESPE). The surfaces of the samples were prepared as follows: Group 1, polished with 16- blade tungsten carbide bur (Comet); Group 2, polished with abrasive discs (Hawe-Neos); Group 3, application of different bonding agents and a varnish (Ketac-Silver / Varnish(ESPE) , Vitremer / Finishing Gloss (3M), Dyract / Prime&Bond 2.1 (Dentsply, DeTrey) , Prodigy / OptiGuard (Kerr)). Surfaces of materials cured against a Mylar strip were used as the control group. The specimens were stored in distilled water at 37° C for a week prior to surface roughness (Ra) evaluation, which was carried out by using Surftest. 402 Analyzer (Mitutoyo). Data were subjected to one-way ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis test. The control groups of Prodigy (0.06 ± 0.01 Ra) and Ketac-Silver (0.08 ± 0.02 Ra) demonstrated the lowest Ra values when compared to all other groups (p<0.05). For Vitremer, significantly smoother surfaces (0.17± 0.03 Ra) were obtained in group 3 (p < 0.05). No statistically significant difference in surface roughness was detected between the polishing procedures both in Dyract and Prodigy.Key words: tooth-colored restoratives, surface roughness, polishing
