A Research for Factors That are Effective on the Voting Behavior of University Students

Abstract
The most distinct method adopted by the electorates to reflect their political conviction is voting. Thisstudy attempts to reveal the factors influential upon undergraduates’ behaviour of voting, and to enablecomparison between such factors. In this context, findings related to a questionnaire conducted for theundergraduates in the wake of the local election on 29 March 2009 have been given. According to therudimentary findings of this study, the most distinct factors that have been influential upon undergraduates’behaviour of voting for local elections are candidate, ideology and leader.
