THE EFFECT OF DANCE AS COMMUNICATION FROM ON FILM NARRATIVE: “EXAMPLE OF CHICAGO”

Abstract

As an effective form of discourse which is “Art”, established with the original qualities of the types of the work that has emerged with receptive of communication, are constructed with a structure that touched emotions. Dance, like many other art forms for many centuries, even it puts human feelings and thoughts are formed by cultural codes built-in individual and social perspective, has opened new perspectives on ideas and breaking. Just like in movies that moved the audience unfamiliar with the new narratives of the universe, interrupted our formatted form of vision and perception led to question of us to validate cliché. The meaning of the dance with different cinematographic choices become apparent or that extends in the movie the distinctive language is becoming a powerful communication tool. In other words, a combination of these two art forms by creating a parent language, when used of the human mind, in touch with emotions is much more effective comprises a communication path. In this article using the method of sociological analysis “Chicago” (2002) on film the musical dance sequences of the film examined the discourse that has emerged and throughout the choreography focuses on the meaning that is created. In these sequences the cinematographic structure formed with the audience of communication, common sense for the purpose of constructing editing is examined.

Özet

Etkili bir söylem biçimi olan “sanat”, türlerine özgün nitelikleriyle ortaya konulan eserin alımlayıcılarıyla kurduğu iletişimde, duygulara dokunan bir yapıyla inşa edilmektedir. Dans, diğer pek çok sanat türü gibi yüzyıllardır insan duygu ve düşüncelerini ortaya koyarken kültürel kodlarla biçimlendirilmiş olsa da yerleşik fikirleri kırılmaya uğratarak bireysel ve toplumsal bakışa yeni perspektifler açmıştır. Tıpkı sinema filmlerinde izleyenin taşındığı yeni evrenlerin aşina olmadığımız anlatılarının, biçimlendirilmiş görme ve algılama formlarımızı sekteye uğratarak kalıplaşmış doğrularımızı sorgulamaya yönlendirdiği gibi. Dansın ortaya koyduğu anlamı farklı sinematografik tercihlerle netleştiren ya da genişleten sinemada görünürleşen bu özgün dil, güçlü bir iletişim aracı haline gelmektedir. Başka bir ifadeyle, bu iki sanat formu bir arada kullanıldığında üst bir dil oluşturularak insan zihnine, duygularıyla dokunan çok daha etkili bir iletişim yolu oluşmaktadır. Bu makalede sosyolojik çözümleme yöntemi kullanılarak “Chicago” (2002) filmi üzerinden müzikal filmlerin dans sekanslarında ortaya konulan söylem incelenmiş ve koreografi bütününde oluşturulan anlam üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu sekanslardaki sinematografik yapının seyirciyle kurulan iletişimde, ortak anlam inşa etme amacına yönelik kurgulanışı incelenmiştir.
