Abstract
The innate and adaptive immune system are two different but related networks also involved in human reproduction in such a way that leads to success of a tissue allograft, namely conpception. The knowledge about the components of the immune system is essential in understanding interactions taking place in implantation and pregnancy. Antigenic determinants on the gametes and trophoblasts differ from that of the normal somatic cells. Also maternal immune response-Js altered in variety of ways. The harmony in the numerous stages is required for maintenance of pregnancy. The dysfunction of immune system has been reported in many pathological conditions of human reproduction. At present, some of recurrent pregnancy loss cases were linked to the presence of antiphospholipid antibodies which is remediable. The data for the alloimmune dysfunction in recurrent abortion and its managements is still conflicting.
