Mullerian agenesis coexisting with serous borderline tumor of ovary: A case report

Abstract

Endometrium and cervical cancers have been reported in further decades of the cases with mullerian abnormalities. In this report we have focused on a mullerian agenesis case in which a large pelvic mass detected and treated in our clinic. Pathologic examination revealed bilaterally serous borderline tumor of ovaries. We have investigated throughout the literature, but we haven't been able to encountere any case similar to ours. We found the case quite interesting and unusual so we wished to review this infrequent case in the light of the literature.

Özet

Mülleryan agenezisli olgularda ilerleyen dekatlarda endometrium ve servikal kanserlerin oluştuğu rapor edilmektedir. Bu yazıda kliniğimizde mülleryan agenezisli bir olguda tanı alan ve tedavi gören pelvik kitleye odaklandık. Kitlenin patolojik değerlendirilmesi seröz borderline over tümörü olarak değerlendirildi. Literatürde buna benzer olgunun yer almadığı araştırmalarımız sonucunda anlaşıldı. Olgunun ilginç olması ve daha önce hiç tanımlanmaması nedeniyle derledik.
