Abstract
Aggressive angiomyxoma is a rare myofibroblastic tumor, usually affecting young women. Two patients, one with a vaginal and the other with a vulvar mass had underwent surgical intervention with different preoperative diagnoses; the former as vaginal cyst and the later as vulvar hernia. Unfortunately, the pathological evaluation of the specimens revealed aggressive angiomyxoma. The misdiagnosis of this tumor is a common problem therefore it should remembered before the preoperative and pathological diagnose.
Özet
Agresif anjiyomiksoma sıklıkla genç kadınları etkileyen nadir görülen bir miyofibroblastik tümördür. Biri vajinal diğeri vulvar kitlesi olan iki hastaya farklı preoperatif tanılarla; birincisine vajinal kist, ikincisine vulvar herni tanılarıyla cerrahi girişim uygulanmıştır. Ancak ne yazık ki, spesimenlerin patolojik incelemesinde her ikisinin de agresif anjiomiksoma olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Bu tümörün yanlış tanısı oldukça sıktır ve preoperatif ve patolojik incelemelerden önce her zaman akıla getirilmelidir.
