Abstract
İn this case report we discuss clinical appearance, diagnostic evaluation and treatment approach in a case who underwent cataract surgery successfully with iridoschisis. İridoscisis is a rare degenerative condition of the iris stroma with the anterior atrophic portion disintegrating into fibrils that can be seen unilaterally or bilaterally. it is frequently associated with age-related cataract, trauma, angle closure glaucoma and rarely congenital syphilis with or without the presence of interstitial keratitis. iridoschisis must warn the clinician to assess the patient for pre-existing glaucoma .treatments to prevent possible damage of the optic nerve and a good control of the glaucoma must be achieved.
