Abstract
Renal oncocytoma is a rare benign tumor of the kidney. It may show a similarity to several types of renal cell carcinoma, e.g. chromophobe, papillary and granular type. The presence of ischemic necrosis and the cells showing degenerative atypia in the tumor makes the differential diagnosis difficult when it reached at a large size. We present a case of 62 year-old age man with renal oncocytoma located on middle and upper lobe of the left kidney.
Özet
Renal onkositoma böbreğin nadir görülen benign bir tümörüdür. Kromofob, papiller, granüler hücreli gibi renal hücreli karsinoma tipleriyle benzerlik gösterebilir. Çok büyük boyutlara ulaştığında tümörde iskemik nekroz ve dejeneratif atipi görülebildiğinden ayırıcı tanısı zorlaşır. Burada 62 yaşındaki bir erkek hastada sol böbrek orta ve üst bölümüne lokalize bir renal onkositoma olgusu sunulmaktadır.
