Abstract

Aneurysmal bone cysts are tun.jr-like lesions of bone. As a definite recognizable bone lesion it is mainly confined to the shaft of long bones has been reported to occur in the spine at random localizations. Despite its benign nature some of this lesions have a remarkably ability destroy bone and grow rapidly. They are more frequent in the second and third decades of life. The occurence of an aneurysmal bone cysts following a traumatic fracture has been well documented. We report a case who has an aneurysmal bone cysts followed by a traumatic cervical spinal fracture. Compression of the spinal cord by the aneurysmal bone cyst may result in motor and sensorial loss. Open biopsy is recom-mended and should be done by the most appropriate approach depending on the location of the lesion. If possible, complete excision is the treatment of choise.

Özet

At.evrizmal kemik kistleri (AKK) kemiğin tümör benzeri lezyonlarıdır.
