Radiotherapy results in our heel spur cases

Abstract
In this study, patients with heel spur who unresponded to conservative treatment and underwent radiotherapy between .1974 and 1998 were analyzed retrospectively. Radiotherapy was applied on 26 male.Mean age was found to be 47 symptoms diminished in all patients within six months after the therapy only one patient revealed grade 1 radiation dermatitis .in conclusion we suggest that radiotherapy can be safely and succesfully administered in patients with persistent symptoms of heel spur.
Özet
Bu çalışmada 1974 ile 1998 yılları arasında konservatif tedavilerle yanıt alınamayan radyoterapi uygulanmış topuk dikenli hastalar retrospektif olarak incelenmiştir. Değerlendirilebilen 10 bayan 16 erkek, toplam 26 hastaya 8-10 Gray radyoterapi uygulanmıştır. Medyan yaş 47 olarak bulunmuştur. Tüm hastalarda tedaviden sonraki altı ay içinde semptomlar kaybolmuştur. Sadece bir hastada derece 1 radyasyon dermatiti izlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak radyoterapi topuk dikeni olan ve sebat eden semptomları olan hastalara başarıyla ve emniyetli bir şekilde uygulanabilir.
