Infection in the late period in a case of aggomatic complex fracture repaired with rigid internal fixation

Abstract
Rigid internal fixation is an effective and contemporary method used in the treatment of maxillofacial fractures. Although the incidence of infection is respectively lower following this method, once it occurs, it causes severe pathology. In this study, a case which severe infection occurred in the late period after treatment with rigid internal fixation had been performed is presented.
Özet
Maksillofasyal kırıkların tedavisinde rijit internal fiksasyon, çağdaş ve geçerli bir yöntemdir. Bu teknik ile onarım sonrasında enfeksiyon az görülmekle beraber kimi zaman oldukça ciddi bir patoloji yaratır. Bu çalışmada zigomatik kompleks kırığı nedeni ile rijit internal fiksasyon ile onarım uygulanan ve geç dönemde ciddi enfeksiyon gelişen bir olgu sunulmuştur.
