Diagnosis and treatment of follicular cysts (Case report)

Abstract
Follicular or dentigerous cysts are the cysts that occurs at the crowns of developing teeth around corona dentis. Their localizations are usually near to the amelocemental junction on the neck of tooth and they arise from the remains of the enamel after enamel formation. They comprise about % 10-15 of jaw cysts. They are mostly localized on mandibular 3. molar and in maxillary sinus. In this article we present three patients admitted to our clinic and treated with the diagnosis of follicular cyst.

Folliküler ya da dentigeröz kistler, gelişim halindeki dişlerin kök ucunda, korona dentis etrafında gelişen kistlerdir. Yerleşimleri genellikle diş boynundaki amelosemental bileşkeye yakın olup enamel oluşumu tamamlandıktan sonra kalan kalıntılardan gelişirler. Çene kistlerinin yaklaşık % 10-15'ini oluştururlar. Sıklıkla mandibular 3. molar bölgede ve maksiller sinüsde yerleşirler.Bu yazıda kliniğimize başvuran ve folliküler kist tanısıyla tedavi edilen üç olgu sunulmuştur.
