Abstract
Pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis (PAM) is a rare, idiopatic, and familial disease. It is characterized with commonly presenting calcium phosphate bodies in alveolar space. It is generally asymptomatic when diagnosed. We have presented a typical PAM case according to his history. But the patient had clear signs and symptoms. There were common micronoduler opasities which were more evident in lower lobes in plain chest roentgenogram and high resolution computed tomography (HRCT). There was pleural involvement unlike expected situation in literatures. It was precisely diagnosed with transbronchial biopsy.
