The tranquilizer effects of 5-ethoxy-2-[2-(morpholino)-ethilthio]-benzimidasole

Abstract

ObjectiveAim: In this study, the tranquilizer effect of a substance (5-ethoxy-2-[2-(morpholino)-ethilthio]-benzimidasole) recently derived from mercaptobenzimidasole was investigated. Methods: Genetically unidentified rats for conflict test and BALB/C mice and unidentified mice for plus maze test were used. The substance investigated for the test animals and serum physiologic for the control animals were injected intraperitoneallyinto peritoneum of the animals. Results: It was determined that the substance investigated has a more safely tranquilizer effect than those of to be superior from the other tranquilizers, at the different doses of among 1.0-30.0 mg/kg in conflict test and 0.1, 1.0, 5.0 and 10.0 mg/kg in plus maze test. In addition, the dose range of this substance for tranquilizer effect iswas far from the dose (50 mg/kg) of it which has a sedative effect. Conclusion: It might be considered that thethis substance derived from mercaptobenzimidasole might be a safe tranquilizer drug.

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, yeni keşfedilen merkaptobenzimidazol türevi bir maddenin (5-etoksi-2-[2-(morfolino)-etiltio]-benzimidazol) trankilizan etkisi konflikt ve haç şekilli labirent testleri ile araştırıldı. Yöntem: Konflikt testinde ırkı belirsiz sıçanlar, haç şekilli labirent testinde BALB/C ırkı ve ırkı belirsiz fareler kullanıldı. Deney hayvanlarına araştırılan madde, kontrol grubu hayvanlara serum fizyolojik, intraperitonal olarak uygulandı. Bulgular: Araştırılan maddenin diğer trankilizanlardan üstün olarak konflikt testinde 1.0-30.0 mg/kg gibi geniş bir doz aralığında, haç şekilli labirent testinde ise 0.1, 1.0, 5.0 ve 10.0 mg/kg dozlarda güçlü trankilizan etki gösterdiği saptandı. Bu maddenin trankilizan etki gösterdiği doz aralığı, sedatif etki gösterdiği dozdan (50 mg/kg) oldukça uzaktı. Sonuç: Merkaptobenzimidazol türevi bu maddenin güvenilir bir trankilizan ilaç olabileceği söylenebilir.
