Penetrating injury of the spinal cord with reinforcing iron: Case report and review of the literature

İnşaat demiri ile oluşan penetran omurilik yaralanması: olgu sunumu ve literatürün gözden geçirilmesi

Abstract

Penetrance spinal cord injuries are seen rarely and most of them are the shooting injuries. Spinal cord injuries because of the cutter are rare. Eight articles and eleven cases were declared from turkey.ın this study, twentyfive years old male patient who had a penetrance spinal cord injury because of falling from high is presented firstly in turkey with this literature. The authours take a view according to these datas that, surgical treatment is the first choice if neurological functions loss is attended at these kinds of traumas after stabilizing the vital signs of the patient.

Özet

Penetran omurilik yaralanmaları nadiren görülmekte ve bunlarından büyük çoğunluğunu ateşli silah yaralanması oluşturmaktadır. Kesicidelici alete bağlı omurilik yaralanmaları nadirdir. Türkiyeʼden sekiz makalede toplam on bir olgu bildirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada Türkiyeʼde ilk defa yüksekten düşme sonrası penetran omurilik yaralanması geçiren 25 yaşında erkek hastayı literatür eşliğinde sunulmuştur. Bu çalışmanın verilerine göre bu tür travmalarda hastanın vital bulguları stabilleştirdikten sonra, olguya eğer nörolojik fonksiyon kaybı eşlik ediyorsa cerrahi tedavi ilk seçenek olduğu fikri elde edilmiştir.
