The case of systemic lupus erithematous starting with auricular chondiritis

Abstract

Systemic lupus erythematosus is a chronic autoimmune disorder which can be seen in locomotor system or as a systemic disease. Chondritis is a inflammation of cartilage developing due to various etiological factors. Chondritis can be seen in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus which is a autoimmune disease. In case reports published in the literature, chondritis has been described as attacks developing during the course of lupus. In the present case the first symptom in the patient was auricular chondritis, patients in the follow-up of the patients clinical and laboratory findings of systemic lupus erythematosus become evident. Chondritis is rare in patients with lupus, we present this case because it is rarely seen in cases presenting with the onset of chondritis.

Özet

Sistemik lupus eritematozus (SLE), lokomotor sistem ve sistemik tutuluş yapabilen, bir kronik otoimmun hastalıktır. Kondrit, farklı etiyolojik nedenler ile gelişen kıkırdak dokunun inflamasyonudur. Otoimmun bir hastalık olan sistemik lupus eritematozus hastalarında kondrit de görülebilmektedir. Literatürde, olgu sunumları şeklinde olan yayınlarda, daha çok lupusun seyrinde olan kondrit ataklarından bahsedilmektedir. Bizim sunduğumuz hastada ise ilk bulgu olarak aurikular kondrit görülmekte, hastanın takibinde sistemik lupus eritematozusun klinik ve laboratuvar bulguları belirginleşmektedir. Lupuslu hastada kondrit enderdir, kondrit atağı ile başlayan lupus çok daha ender olduğu için bu olguyu sunduk.
