Transfusion Associated Acute Lung Injury:Case Report

Abstract

Transfusion-related acute lung injury (TRALI) is the most common cause of transfusion related mortality. Clinical, hours after the administration of one or two blood products, it is characterized by sudden onset of hypoxia, dyspnea and bilateral pulmonary infiltrates. 28 years old female patient before elective caesarean section, after the purchase of units of blood products due to anemia developed postoperative respiratory distress. Patients continued treatment in intensive care unit who were diagnosed with TRALI and response was dramatic symptomatic treatment.

Özet

Transfüzyon ilişkili akut akciğer hasarı (TRALI), transfüzyon ilişkili mortalitenin en sık nedenidir. Klinik olarak bir veya daha fazla kan ürününün verilmesinden yaklaşık saat sonra gelişen ani hipoksemi, dispne ve bilateral pulmoner infiltrasyonun eşlik ettiği akciğer hasarıdır. 28 yaşında kadın hastaya elektif sezeryan öncesi, anemisi nedeniyle verilen ünite eritrosit süspansiyonundan sonra cerrahiye alındı ve hastada postoperatif akut solunum sıkıntısı geliş- ti. Yoğun bakım ünitesinde tedavisine devam edilen hasta TRALI olarak değerlendirildi ve semptomatik tedaviye dramatik yanıt alındı.
