Özet
Osmanlının son dönemlerine damgasını vuran büyük savaşlar ve yükselen milliyetçi çatışmaların geleneksel eşkıyalık pratiklerine belli bir meşruiyet hâlesi içinde kendilerini yeniden üretebilecekleri uygun ortam sunduğunu biliyoruz. Kimi özel ve resmi belgeler ışığında, bu deneme bu özel konjonktürde eşkıyalık pratiğiyle savaş zamanlarının ulusal mitoslarının milis muharebeleri üzerinden kahramanlaştırdığı kimi eylemlerin nasıl iç içe geçebileceğini Orta Karadeniz bölgesi örnekleri üzerinden göstermeyi hedefliyor.
