The Effect of New Trends on Regıonal Tourısm: The Case of Slow Food in Gökçeada

Abstract

"Slow Food" is a which emerged with the clean and the fair food philosophy and cares about the level of income of the manufacturer of environmental nature. Aiming to increase the level of awareness and consciousness about sustainability and social justice, It has been observed that "Slow Food" has safeguarded the traditional food and the biodiversity conservation. Also It supports the food education and the local economy. After the Slow Food Movement, Accommodation numbers of Gökçeada, the numbers of food and beverage business, income and employment, tourism diversity, transport, promotion, infrastructure and superstructure, the numbers of domestic and foreign visitors are evaluated in terms of the development of tourism and what kinds of changes in the regional tourism have been tried to be found.

Yavaş Yemek, "iyi, temiz ve adil gıda" felsefesi ile ortaya çıkan çevreyi doğayı ve üreticilerin gelir düzeyini önemseyen bir akımdır. Sürdürülebilirlik ve sosyal adalet konusunda farkındalığı ve bilinç düzeyini artırmayı amaçlayan YavaşYemek'in, geleneksel gıdaları koruma altına almayı, biyolojik çeşitliliği korumayı, yemek eğitimi ve yerel ekonomiyi desteklemeyi amaç edindiği görülmektedir. Çalışmada veri toplama yöntemlerinden birisi olan yüz yüze görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Yavaş Yemek akımı sonrası; Gökçeada'da konaklama tesis sayısı, yiyecek içecek işletme sayısı, gelir ve istihdam, turizm çeşitliliği, ulaşım, tanıtım, altyapı ve üst yapı, gelen yerli ve yabancı ziyaretçi sayısı, ilçe turizminin gelişmesi açısından değerlendirilerek bölge turizminde ne gibi değişikliklerin olduğu tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.
