Abstract
Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is the most frequent type of osteoarthritis and is a common cause of lower extremity pain and disability in the general population. Given the lack of a direct cure, treatments for OA of the knee mainly focus on relieving pain, reducing inflammation, decreasing stiffness, maintaining joint mobility, and preventing further deformity. Intra-articular injections can achieve short-term pain relief by lubricating the joint. We present our experience with pulsed radiofrequency in a patient with long-standing arthrogenic pain not responding to medication or denying the surgical options.
