Özet
Bu çalışmada Türkiyede eğitimin bireysel getirisinin zaman içindeki değişimi dünya ülkeleri ile kıyaslamalı olarak ele alınmıştır. Türkiyede eğitimin bireysel yıllık getirisi yaklaşık olarak %10dur. Bu rakam aynı zamanda dünya ortalaması- nı yansıtmaktadır. Eğitim seviyelerini ayrı ayrı incelediğimizde her eğitim seviye- sinde Türkiyede eğitimin getirisi dünya ortalamasının üzerindedir. Bununla birlik- te Türkiyede yükseköğretimin getirisi, ilk ve ortaöğretim ile kıyaslandığında, dün- ya ortalamasından çok daha yüksektir.
Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this brief is to analyze the evolution of private returns in Turkey in comparison with selected country groups. We find that the rate of return to one year of schooling is approximately 10% which is almost mean value for the world. When we look at the returns to education by level of schooling, we see that re- turn to education is systematically over the world averages. In addition, the re- turn to tertiary education relative to primary and secondary education is the hig- her in comparison to the world average.
