On a Special Structure Indicating Swiftness in the Turkish of Turkey

Abstract

Apart from the compound verb verb + I/U adverbial verb suffix + ver-, there is another special structure indicating swiftness in the Turkish of Turkey. The structure formed as (bir) + (gerund with the suffix -(y)°ş) + (the same verb) was analyzed in terms of its manner of formation, syntactic features and semantic functions, and its syntactic sequence was investigated in this study. The research is a descriptive study that was carried out, using the survey model which is one of the qualitative research methods. Ten literary works written in the Turkish of Turkey by different authors and the internet environment were used for data collection (samples) in the study and the findings were obtained through the analysis of these data. Consequently, it was determined that the structure (bir) + (gerund with the suffix -(y)°ş) + (the same verb) expresses swiftness as its main function in the Turkish of Turkey and is a formulaic language product that could be termed stylistic formula

Özet

Türkiye Türkçesinde, fiil + I/U zarf-fiil eki + ver- birleşik fiili dışında, tezlik bildiren bir özel yapı daha bulunmaktadır. (bir) + (-(y)°ş ekli isim-fiil) + (aynı f.) şeklinde kurulan bu yapı, bu çalışmada kuruluş biçimi, söz dizimi özellikleri ve anlamsal işlevleri açısından incelenmiş, bu yapının söz dizimsel ulamı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden yararlanılarak gerçekleştirilen tarama modelinde betimsel bir çalışmadır. Çalışmada Türkiye Türkçesiyle yazılmış farklı sanatçılara ait on edebi eser ile İnternet ortamı veri (örnek) toplama aracı olarak kullanılmış ve araştırmadaki bulgular, bu verilerin incelemesi yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, unsurlarının yerleri değişmeyen ve unsurları arasına başka bir unsur almayan (bir) + (-(y)°ş ekli isim-fiil) + (aynı f.) yapısının, Türkiye Türkçesinde ana anlamsal işlev olarak tezlik bildiren ve tarz kalıbı terimiyle karşılanabilecek bir kalıplaşmış dil ürünü olduğu tespit edilmiştir
