Psychogenic seizure secondary to epilepsy: Case report

Abstract
Epileptic and psychogenic seizures usually have similar symptoms and present particu¬larly difficult problems In differential diagnosis and treatment. Coincidence of these two disorders In the same patient is not rare. In this case study, two female adolescent pa¬tients aged 13 and 17 who were referred to child psychiatry and consulted with pediat¬ric neurology because of seizures were discussed In terms of symptomatology ant treat¬ment in the light of literatures.
Özet
Epileptik ve psikojenlk nöbetler birbirlerine benzer özellikler göstermekte ve çoğu kez ayırıcı tanı ve tedavide güçlükler yaşanmaktadır. Her iki tanının aynı hastada bulunma¬sı da çok seyrek rastlanan bir durum değildir. Bu yazıda çocuk psikiyatrisi bölümüne bayılma nedeniyle başvuran ve aynı zamanda çocuk nörolojisi bölümünde de epilepsi tanısı ile değerlendirilen 13 ve 17 yaşlarındaki iki kız olgunun belirti ve tedavileri yazın eşliğinde tartışılmıştır.
