INVESTIGATION OF SELECTION CRITERIA FOR WATERPROOFING MATERIALS IN ROOF AND CONSTRUCTION

ÇATI VE CEPHEDE SU YALITIM MALZEMELERİNİN SEÇİM KRİTERLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Water tries to infiltrate the roof and facade joints. It is important to choose waterproofing materials according to the type of roof, to apply and to dissolve the details of the regions penetrating the roof, for the performance and continuity of waterproofing. The biggest problems in the outer shell of the above ground structure are due to the selection and application of faulty materials. In this study, it was aimed to determine the waterproofing material criteria of the architects and engineers by examining the preferences and solutions of waterproofing materials on the roofs and facades and to make the most common and appropriate insulation material choices by revealing the experiences of the past construction site. In the study, roof and facade waterproofing applications, materials and selection criteria of 50 constructions in the same climate zone and district were investigated. In the examination, it was seen that waterproofing was not done in the structures where shingle and metal roof roofing were used. In the chimney and parapet regions, measures are taken in all buildings. On the façades, it was found that water repellent paints were widely used against the impact of water, but it was determined that there was no measure against the water except for the curtain wall joinery.

Özet

Su, çatıdan ve cephe birleşim noktalarında içeriye sızmaya çalışır. Su yalıtım malzemelerin çatı tipine uygun olarak seçilmesi, uygulanması ve çatıyı delip geçen bölgelerin detayların iyi çözülmesi, su yalıtımının performansı ve devamlılığı açısından önemlidir. Toprak üstü yapı dış kabuğunda en büyük problemler hatalı malzeme seçimi ve uygulamasından kaynaklanmaktadır. Çalışmada, çatı ve cephelerdeki su yalıtım malzemeleri tercihleri ve çözümleri incelenerek mimar ve mühendislerin su yalıtım malzemesi kriterlerini belirlemek geçmiş şantiye deneyimlerini de ortaya koyarak en yaygın ve uygun yalıtım malzemesi seçimlerinin yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada aynı iklim bölgesinde ve Bursa Nilüfer İlçesindeki 50 inşaattaki çatı ve cephe su yalıtım uygulamaları, malzemeleri ve seçim kriterleri incelenmiştir. Yapılan incelemede malzemenin shingle ve metal kenet çatı kaplamasının kullanıldığı yapılarda su yalıtımının yapılmadığı görülmüştür. Baca ve parapet bölgelerinde ise tüm yapılarda önlem alındığı görülmektedir. Cephelerde ise suyun çarpma etkisine karşı su itici boyaların yaygın olarak kullanıldığı fakat doğrama duvar birleşimlerinde giydirme cephelerin dışında suya karşı önlem alınmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
