Diphallus, penoscrotal transposition and partial hindgut duplication which points the symptom of perineal mass

Abstract

In a newborn infant with a mucosal-lined perineal mass associated with diphallus, penoscrotal transposition and penoscrotal hypospadias was presented. Perineal mass was excised and diphallus was corrected by excising the rudimanter phallus at same time. Penoscrotal transposition and hypospadias were corrected later. The histopathological examination revealed that the mucosal-lined perineal mass contained the intestinal tissue which consist of tunica muscularis and mucosa. This case was evaluated as a mild form of the caudal duplication syndrome that had ruptured antenatally through the perineum.

Özet

Mukoza kaplı perineal kitle bulgusu veren kısmi arka bağırsak duplikasyonu, difallusu, penoskrotal hipospadiası ve penoskrotal transpozisyonu olan bir yenidoğan sunuldu. Yenidoğan döneminde perineal kitle eksize edildi, aynı seansta rudimenter fallus da eksize edilerek difallus tedavi edildi. Penoskrotal hipospadias ve penoskrotal transpozisyon altıncı ayda tedavi edildi. Histopatolojik incelemede eksize edilen kitlenin bağırsak mukoza ve müsküler tabakalarını içerdiği saptandı. Bu olgu antenatal dönemde perineye rüptüre olan kaudal duplikasyon sendromunun orta dereceli bir görünümü olarak değerlendirildi.
