As-Sayh al-Islam Mustafa Sabri and an Analysis from the Perspective of the Islamic Theology on ‘Mevkîf al-Beşer Tahte Sultan al-Kadar

ŞEYHU’L-İSLÂM MUSTAFA SABRİ’NİN ‘MEVKÎFU’L-BEŞER TAHTE SULTÂNİ’L-KADER’ İSİMLİ ESERİNİN KELÂM AÇISINDAN BİR TAHLİLİ

Abstract

Mustafa Sabri (1869-1954) was a person who witnessed to the last periods of the Ottoman Empire. He had many words and works in the scientific field, he was a respected scientist who struck the turning mark he lived with his belief, views and thoughts. However, since he was condemned to exile and dignity, he often misunderstood his thoughts and opinions if he could not express them correctly or tried to express himself. Mustafa Sabri’s view of thought and human actions was the most important of his remarkable views and thoughts in the field of the word of God. There is no doubt that his work titled ‘Mevkîf al-Beşer Tahte Sultan al-Kadar’ has great importance and value in terms of his total expression of opinions and thoughts on this subject.

Özet

Şeyhu’l-İslâm Mustafa Sabri Efendi (1869-1954), Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun son dönemlerine tanıklık etmiş önemli bir şahsiyettir. Dinî-ilmî alanda birçok söz ve eserin sahibi olan Mustafa Sabri, inanç, görüş, düşünce ve eserleri itibariyle yaşadığı döneme damgasını vurmuş saygın bir bilim insanıdır. Ancak sürgün ve gurbet hayatına mahkûm edildiğinden genelde düşünce ve görüşlerini ya doğru şekilde ifade edememiş yahut da ifadeye çalışsa da yanlış anlaşılmıştır. Mustafa Sabri’nin kelâm alanında dikkate değer görüş ve düşüncelerinden en önemlisi irade ve insan fiillerine olan bakışıdır. Hiç kuşkusuz onun bu konudaki görüş ve düşüncelerinin totalini ifade etmesi açısından “Mevkîfu’l-Beşer Tahte Sultâni’l-Kader” isimli eserinin büyük bir önem ve kıymeti vardır.
